The Project
We kicked off the project with a video call to determine the goal and focus of the event: The team at Athens wanted to highlight the big name printers they sell including Canon, HP, and Epson with bold colour and graphics that made a statement.

Athens planned to feature the new Canon Colorado in the booth and offer visitors a demonstration. They also wanted to create a wall of displays that provided structure and controlled the flow of traffic through the booth. Using the supplied mockup (above) as the starting point.
We advised them that the original files provided (above) were busy visually and that those attending the show were unlikely to take time to read each description. We proposed focusing on a select few pieces of equipment for each brand, and recommended that colour of the backdrop coordinate with the brand on display to further promote brand recognition when viewed from afar.
We also recommended changing the style of the displays to units Athens Paper sold. The backdrop shown in the mockup (above) was an existing 8ft wide curved backdrop display Athens already had and although an excellent backdrop, due to the curved structure it consumed too much floor space. We opted for a series of straight backdrops that offered the ability to connect, creating one large modular display that could be repurposed at future events.
