The Project
The team at Athens Paper requested our help to design impactful backdrops that would draw visitors in to their booth at PRINTING United, an annual event for the print industry exploring the latest technology.
The project started with a video call to determine the goal and focus of the event: They wanted to highlight the big name printers including Canon, HP, and Epson to promote their availability through Athens with bold colour and graphics that made a statement.
We advised them that the original files provided were visually "too busy" and that those attending the show were unlikely to take time to read each description. We proposed a focus on 1 to 3 products for each brand, and recommended that colour of the backdrop should coordinate with the brand on that display to further promote recognition when viewed from afar.
The background itself is modular, allowing Athens the freedom to set up their booth in whichever order they deemed suitable for the show. We printed the displays double-sided to 1) draw customers in from both sides of the show and 2) so that conversations could be held inside and outside the booth.
